What is the Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i 2.0) Model?
Before we speak about EQ-i 2.0, let’s first get to know the meaning of Emotional Intelligence.
Emotional Intelligence is a set of skills that impact the way a person sees and expresses themselves, as well as how they maintain social relationships, adapt to challenges, and react positively and in a meaningful way.
Then, what is EQ-i 2.0? It is a leading measure to assess emotional and social intelligence. It is used to self-report and determines emotional and social functioning. It was used at first in coaching and development, however later on it is used to evaluate the personal development needs as it provides a picture of how someone functions emotionally, accordingly, they can work on their development and progress. It is a self-rater instrument while the multi-rater is EQ 360.
This instrument specifically measures a collection of skills: Intrapersonal, interpersonal, stress management, adaptability, and general mood.
The EQ-i 2.0 model addresses five composite areas with fifteen subscales, covering areas such as:
